Twenty-nine Participants Benefit from BPW Job Readiness Workshop

The Business and Professional Women’s Club of St. Kitts (BPW St. Kitts), through its Training and Development committee, facilitated a Job Readiness Workshop on 10th June at the Solid Waste Management Corporation Conference Room. Twenty-Nine (29) registrants benefited from a knowledge-packed program which included engaging presentations from experienced and qualified professionals on the topics: Job Seeking Skills; Interview Preparation; and Soft Skills and Professionalism.  Following the presentations, participants took part in a mock interview with experienced professionals and received feedback on how they could further develop and enhance their interview preparations and delivery. The participants also received a handout with Interview preparation guidance and tips.

 

The featured workshop presenters who are all members of BPW St. Kitts, were
Ms Dawne Williams, Consultant, Financial Services and Business Management and CEO of First Federal Credit Union Ltd; Dr Ionie Liburd Willett, Consultant, Professional Coach and Trainer; and Mrs Delcia Bradley, Consultant, Professional Skills Training and Management. The session was chaired by Mrs Youlouca Armony-Browne, chairperson of Press and Publicity, BPW St. Kitts.

 

The participants included 5th form and college students as well as a few mature persons interested in re-entering the job market or refreshing their knowledge and skills to land better jobs or hone their networking skills as entrepreneurs.
